In this chapter we talk about abilities. A tiny spider spinning a small, perfect web with incredible efficiency. Random guts of wind don’t hinder the insects progress because it is doing what comes naturally, what it was born to do.

Like a spider you have talents and abilities that you use without thinking.

Tell Yourself to Win

I this chapter the Author of the book is trying to help you create positive affirmation.

No Matter what other say to us, the words that mean the most to us are our internal conversations. This is why self-coaching can be such an effective technique.  

At the same time you must eliminate all the negative messages from your internal conversation…. Do not ever put yourself down!

If you have a negative self-talk, you know it can defeat your biggest efforts to succeed at almost any time….. Now is an excellent time to Unlearn this painful habit, and here are some techniques for being positive.

Repetition – The most effective way to make affirmations work is to read or repeat appositive affirmation to yourself.

Out loud – Saying the affirmation aloud, with emotion, make it even powerful.

Eye Contact – Try standing before a mirror and looking deep into your own eyes as you affirm.

Written Repetition – Write your positive affirmation on paper minimum of 20 times

Flash Cards – Copy your affirmation onto several index cards.

Audio Cassette – Record a tape in your own voice, repeating your affirmation over and over again. Listen to audio while driving or relaxing at home.

Take Charge of Your Life

A few days ago, you wrote a lifetime mission for yourself. This mission represents your ultimate lifetime goal. To achieve this long-term goal, you obviously have to achieve a number of short term goals. This is the list of written goals you will create today.

Goal setting is something that you have probably done many times. For example, taking a drive in the car involves goal setting. First, you choose the destination. Second, you check a road map, if necessary….Of course, you should just hop in the car, start driving, and hope for the best, but if you don’t know how to get there, you will probably have a very hard time to reaching your goal…

On the other hand, if you have both a clear destination in mind and a plan to get there, you have an excellent chance of a successful journey.

Simplify Everything

Simplifying everything your life is easiest when it’s done gradually. Start by making a list of some areas of your life that need to be simplified. Break it down into the categories

            Objects – Clean out your wardrobe by giving good cloths to charity. Clean off  
                              shelves, cupboards, and drawers jammed with items rarely used.

            Tasks – Limit your shopping and do all your errands in a single trip. Organise your
                          bill paying, Banking and telephone calls more efficiently.

            Papers – Dump the magazines and newspapers that have piled up. Donate books you
                           have read to the local library.

            Money – Review the services you pay for, like telephone and cable TV, to see whats
                           necessary and what’s complicating your  life. Save and invest money wisely.

Adopt the unlimited attitude of those who know they are complete within themselves, and therefore need nothing outside of themselves to feel complete and whole. On the other hand if you think you are limited, your results will be limited too.

Face your Fears

In this chapter the author try to examine two things that keep many people from moving forward and achieving success. The first is Fear and the second is worry…

Fear is a powerful emotion that can accompany any transition, any new experience, or any unknown or dangerous situation. Fear can be strong and immediate. Fear can stop you dead in your tracks and paralyse you when you most need to take action…

Worry on the other hand, is generally a troubling, uneasy feeling. There is also a time difference between fear and worry. While fear is often felt in the here and now, worry is almost always about some future.

Plan for Abundance

What does planning for abundance mean? Here’s an example – Hundred of years ago, early American settlers found that their best chance for success came when they lived and worked beside a major waterway. Of course, not everyone who settled on a waterway was guaranteed prosperity, but that body of water provided there sustaining forces nourishment in the form of food and water, a mode of transportation, and a source of trade and commerce. Some of todays most vibrant American cities grew from those early settlements.

Three forces of modern prosperity are

1.Economics which define where the money comes and where it goes

2.Demography Study of human population

3.Psychography is the study of peoples attitude, opinions and activities.

There is no tomorrow and don’t rely on tomorrow

At the end of lives, too many people look back with regret at missed opportunities, at lost chances for improvement.Too many let time slip through their fingers by falling into a common trap summed up in “ There is always tomorrow”. That would be true if you had a unlimited life span. Of course there is not always tomorrow – life is limited and once it runs out, that it.
